How it All Began

In 2000, I was at a crossroads in my career. I had been originating since 1993 and was discouraged working for big companies/banks. I wanted to create a place where it was fun to work and to get a mortgage.

I took the leap of faith to open Home Team Lending with one team member. I sat down and created a list of the “ideal loan process” with the customers experience as my guidepost.

One of my favorite sayings is, “You’re either Green & Growing, or Ripe & Rotten.” From day one, I have continued to try to constantly grow.

The things that I get excited about are crunching numbers, learning about my industry, helping people grow, and fostering relationships.

I am passionate about helping motivated buyers, homeowners, and agents to understand the complicated mortgage process. I love making the numbers make sense so that you can make a solid decision when it comes to financing the biggest purchase of your life.

The reasons I have a day job:

My boys – including my husband of over 30 years, my German Sheppard, goldendoodle mix, Smokey, and my three sons, Durango, River & Keith.
Cooking – I plan my entire day around my meals. I love being in my kitchen with my apron on.
Bike riding – I love to be outside on a trail and feeling the wind in my face. I see and smell more when I am on my bike.
Numbers – yes, even when I am at home, I love working with numbers. Excel is my friend.

Little-known fact

My father was in the Air Force, so I am a military BRAT. I was born in Seville, Spain and lived in Japan while I was in 8-10th grades. When he was stationed in the states, we were always in Colorado.
